Embalmed

in a world made of black and white

you were grey

I didn’t know what to do with grey

you were the sunrise of my morning

and the blood on my sheets

glorify me, oh sun almighty

complete my soul by kissing

the hollows of my bones

your rays embalm my skin, and

my soul is fulfilled

the grey clouds portrayed your soul,

and the rain that washed away

the blood

you skin was jaundice and I was

no longer your medicine

I am your curse

I am the failure of your liver,

but you are the tapestry of stars

outside my window

where there is no end,

and there is no fight
